What is the role of light calcium carbonate in paper industry?New research progress on the application of light calcium carbonate in PCC of papermaking industry refers to a product prepared by chemical synthesis, which is the introduction of carbon dioxide into lime water or directly deposited under the effect of sodium carbonate solution and lime water. The quality of light calcium carbonate is better than that of heavy calcium carbonate. Its particles are fine, porous and narrow in size distribution. It has the advantages of fine particle size, high whiteness, low price, low foaming and good printing adaptability. Very suitable for use as paper filler, basically meet the requirements of paper printing and optical properties. Light calcium carbonate is therefore used as a filler for some papers. By comparing the effects of caO3 and Kaolin on the quality and properties of base paper, it is found that the calendized paper with caO3 has higher whiteness and opacity, and the printing parameters such as smoothness, paper gloss, printing gloss and lint removal are close to those of kaolin. Perhaps the problem is the potential impact of high ground rate of light calcium carbonate on printing concentration, ink demand and printing uniformity. Jia Tianxiang's research found that light calcium carbonate can improve and improve the whiteness, smoothness, appearance strength and ink absorption of coated cardboard. The whiteness, opacity, loose thickness, evenness and smoothness of electrostatic carbon paper filled with light calcium carbonate have been greatly improved, the printing suitability of paper has been improved, the ash content of paper has been added, and the morphological stability of paper has been improved. Light printing paper with light calcium carbonate has higher volume and opacity, better printing performance, better evenness and fineness of paper, reduce paper glare, improve paper ash, smoothness and shape stability, but is not conducive to sizing, tensile strength and appearance strength of paper. Zhang Yang's research found that light calcium carbonate can partially replace calcined kaolin for carbon-free carbon paper, which is conducive to saving the cost of papermaking. There is no bond between light calcium carbonate and pulp fibre, resulting in low retention rates. Therefore, light calcium carbonate usually needs modification before use. The modification of light calcium carbonate can be divided into two processes: dry and wet. The wet modified product has good quality and less active agent. However, when using modifiers that are easily hydrolyzed or insoluble in water, dry modification process should be selected. Dry modification surface treatment is simple, easy to industrial production, is now widely used method. |
